Do Everton have too many players? And not enough?

Big fan of McCarthy at his best me.

Very limited, but as a DM a very good player, just that currently I put Morgan, Gana and Besic ahead of him.

:coffee::coffee::coffee:

If he would just quit getting injured on International duty. I've always been a big fan, but like Barkley if the gaffer isn't going to use him, let's sell and use the money on players he does want.

While I think we've done good business this summer I think we still need 4 more players who could start I think we need 2 centre forwards centre back right back to really push the top 4

Good read, nice one!

Thought you made an interesting point about Barkley/Unsworth. Maybe he needs to spend some time with someone different who knows the club. He certainly needs to make to do something I reckon, I don't think just sitting on his current situation is doing anyone any good.

Really good read - well written!
It seams most 'fringe' players give it a go for a season and then look for a move. Appears to be that case in many of our targets this summer. The exceptions would be players who missed games through injury and I would put a few of ours in that bucket. On that basis few would be itching to leave, not McCarthy, Besic, Lennon or even FM. The ones usually looking for the door are the ones who are fit and don't get game time. Not sure we have many of them based on last season but would expect an exodus next summer if my logic is correct.

I have been saying it is time for the return of Tony Hibbert to cover in left back.
Didn't Hibbo get the 'ump over the manner of his dismissal? It would take a pretty sweet weekly cheque (50K?) to entice him back. I hope we do it though; Hibbo is a club legend, a fabulous no-nonsense defender and him and Rooney on the field together again would bring a tear to the eye of all Evertonians.

I like this post and this man.

James Mccarthy very underrated player in my opinion. Last season in the Derby. .. first half we pressed and dominated... Mccarthy got injured... swapped at half time for Barry... we dropped 20 yards deeper and put ourselves under all kinds of pressure.

But of a double whammy IMO thou... McCarthy going off did change the tempo etc but the fact that he was replaced by barry multiplied it ten fold... a more energetic replacement would have made a hell of a difference ... barry needs to be released imo

I think he wants to see his contract out .... can't see him singing ... all about the money now I reckon ...
