Verkhovstov played in a friendly match for Everton earlier this week and the Belarus international apparently impressed the Toffees' technical staff with a strong performance. The report claims that Everton will make a decision about the future of the defender on Friday.
Again from goal.com quoting Pressball.

Did he play for the ressies? Are we going for him LCAB?

Apparently we had a behind closed doors friendly yesterday against Huddersfield and won 6-1 (Joao Silva hat-trick incidently) and this Belrussian played the whole game and was good but "no better than what we've got" apparently...c/o Shane Duffy's dad on Kipper that is.

Nice work! You have inside info! I also think you should post that Silva got a hat trick in the Silva thread......may get a few people excited =)

We have a striker that can score goals!

He's a defender but I get your point ! Don't agree like as I still think Bily has something to offer but it's all opinions mate . Saha is the one I have the problem with !! Bloody useless ....

I edited it immediately, because I realised he wasn't a winger ^_^

And I like Bily. It's Moyes I have the problem with, i.e. buying him when we needed to strengthen other positions... not playing him in the right positions... not playing him at all....

And Saha... don't get me started. I usually do some kind of rant write up post game, because I'm a pretentious twit and think my opinions deserve their own thread, and honestly, Saha's summed up why Moyes has pissed me so off. How can he stick by him?!
