Yes I know the injuries were not that recent, I mean the absolute fuss we've seen from angry hammers has been OTT in my opinion.I don't remember Victor Anichebe's injury, but the injuries I mentioned were long before last week, so I can't see the sense in you point. I'm not a WHU fan and if Nolan indeed broke Victor's leg, he should have been away too.
At the end of the day all players know it's a contact sport and take that risk, being paid very well for it.
Remember David Buust? His career ended. Was that accidental or intentional? How can you prove it either way in a crowded penalty area? Do you ban the tackling player anyway, and risk suspending someone for an innocent accident?
I understand your reasoning for equal length ban/injury but is it practical in every case? If not, it won't work due to consistency issues.
