I was just thinking of about Dixie after reading the thread about yakubu on US television.

How is the film getting on? was it ever even started?

Apparently americans love this kind of stuff, and when you think about its not that surprising if they would love some of dixies story's.

Storys like him refusing to do the nazi salute in nazi germany.

He refused to use the germans size 4 football, so he booted the size 4 footy out of the ground and said we will be using our size 5.

he also got arrested in germany aswell didnt he? for battering a [Poor language removed] copper???

surviving a motor cycle crash and then becoming the greatest centre forward ever.

we should really be marketing our history to the yanks because apparently they love this kinda stuff.

i remember a few years ago having a chat with everton's then commercial manager about them getting together all the old bits of pathe footage & getting a properly presented dvd put together, but needless to say nothing came of it.
