One year contract extension signed today apparently. Delighted for him and us. Blanking out the back pass, I thought he was one of our best players last year and deserved at least another year.

Not pressure. Just cramps! I did enjoy it. It was different and it's always enjoyable to learn and play in a different position. But it was too much running for my legs!

I've not had to change anything but I'm a bit more careful about my diet and I spend more time in the gym. The older you get the harder you have to work.

How can you describe it? It's so tough. I honestly think you have to be a professional football and play for Everton to understand it.

It was great. The guys are the ones who see you working every day, not just at the games. You can't cheat or hide from them so for them to recognise me was very rewarding.

Strangely, the semi-final against Liverpool. It was Wembley and I grew up and learnt a lot from what happened to me. Even for someone of my age, you can mature from an experience like that.

It depends. I think if you finish in the top six that's an amazing achievement and a great performance. The league is so tough. It was a big four, now it's a big six. At least.

We don't have too many strikers so he's got a good chance to play. As a striker, if you score you stay in the team. So if he gets his chance, he'll want to take it.

Not really because it was what was expected. It's not like they were the favourites. Not frustrated but a bit disappointed maybe. I don't know who can take over - I can't see anyone. Whoever it is has a big task ahead though because we've just rebuilt the team.

Marcus Hahnemann was dreadful. He tried to sing an American Christmas song that nobody knew and then changed his mind and started doing heavy metal. You should've seen some of the stuff on his iPod!

Distan quite rightly had a go at our TH goal keeper Captain tonight which caused their 3rd crucial goal - TH simply stood like Bostick on his line when a long ball entered the box it was easily TH ball but Distan had to put it out for a throw in if you lip read Distan twice he remonstrated with TH stating it was his ball and he never came for it lazy goal keeping at its worse just a very bad night at the office 4 shots for Palace = 3 goals two of the 2nd and 3rd pure gifts - the team selection RM has to learn from it for Sunday!
