Did anyone see on sunday, he played a bad pass to Baines in the first half which was followed by frustrated groans from the St. End. He then seemed to turn around to face the fans, hold his hands up, admit his mistake and got on with the game. This prompted huge applause from the St. End.

I have never seen this before in a game ever. I thought Distin didn't have a great game sunday and i don't think he works well with Yobo but i think the lad has a great attitude and genuinly wants to do well fo Everton Football Club.

The fact he turned to the crowd and sort of motioned as if he was saying, 'sorry lids, it won't happen again and i'll do better' really said something to me. Glad we have signed this fella, great short-term replacement for Lescott anyway, we just need to insert a firework up Yobo's arse now

I did, and it wasn't even his fault. Yobo played the ball too far away from him and he was stretching for the ball.

It disappoints me that people are already writing him off, but that happens. I'm sure he'll get back to his best and prove them wrong. A settled defence alongside him would help, more than anything.

Like every player he makes occasional mistakes. The difference with Distin is that is is 100% obvious he really cares, and that will do for me.

Couple of years back I was flying out from Manchester on holiday when the whole squad walked past to the 1st class lounge (on the way to Australia). I was creaming myself of course, but the one who stood out was Distin - colossus of a man. No wonder he owns any attackers in the air.

Osman and Jags were in the electronics shop later and did photos with kids - good lads.
