Well i don't if any of you guys caught his interview on Everton TV last night but basically he loved his debut. He said we we were great fans and that he basically thinks he is really going to enjoy his time here. Lets keep up the good work matchgoers.

For those who missed the interview: FoGaMo

I caught the interview, he said it was the best reception he had ever recieved coming to Goodison, funny that, I dont think we cheer many players from other teams.............

Too be honest and I mean no offence by this but I thought the atmosphere first half was diabolical . You could hear a pin drop . Most games are like this and we really have no excuse . As a crowd we sit there and dont say much until something ahppens to light our fire .

Last 10 minutes against Wigan the crowd got into it but up until that moment we were pretty sh*t

Love the way King louis and distin embraced after the first goal -
I think we witnessed the birth of something beauuttiful......
Team spirit is the key to success (for us at this moment in time anyway)(y)

He better have loved his reputaion cuz at his age he won't get many new receptions with the love we show for all our players..all the best to him!(y)

Dont know about you mate, but I had the feeling being part of the crowd that we were as confident in the team as they were in themselves - not very. Hence the atmosphere. but I do agree we need something a) to happen to wake us up or b) for it to be a big occasion to get the place rocking.

Lets be honest the atmosphere at Goodison these days is very poor and I am being kind . Granted there are a few youngsters in the St End that like to sing but its not just singing that I am talking about its the general backing of the players . Encouraging them . We are third rate . Away from home sometimes its just as bad .

oh my god even a positive thread about a player loving his reception is turned into a negative.

My point was, he compared it to the other times he had been at Goodison as a player for Newcastle, City, Portsmouth. I mean like no [Poor language removed] we gave him a better reception in a blue shirt.

Sorry Mick I was only telling the truth . I think its a valid point . But we did give Distain a very warm welcome and unlike Lescott he appreaciated it .
