if he needs a rest at the start of the season after not playing all summer whats he gonna be like at the end of the season.

Remember a work colleague going through about a real bad patch due to his kid teething - he had to walk around during meetings because if he sat still he'd fall asleep within minutes.

Agree on the shave although he usually looks very dapper for a match.

Perhaps that explains @Bungle's furry avatar - no time to shave due to a cranky baby.

Sounds to me like he's given Sylvain a rocket up his ass and stones being out injured is the perfect opportunity for him to prove he's still up for it. G'wed sylvain lad.

Distin is one of the fitest blokes at the club, I don't think he was having a rest because he was physically tired. Sylvain has always put his hand up and admitted when he's had a bad game or made a mistake, What I think has happened was he was really down on him self mentally from the several bad performances so Bobby just told him to have break from it all for a couple of weeks, rest up, clear the mind and recharge the batteries.
