Not his biggest fan but I would take Distan. Yobo is fall off his POY year form of a couple years ago. Though in his defense he's had to play were a wantaway CB and a makeshift CB.

Yobo was adored by Everton fans and other clubs alike , and then a hamstring injury occured. He had to sit out for a while as the likes of Jags and Baines took their opportunities, and now the roles are reversed, he is suddenly rubbish?

The guy is lightening quick, and still a top class defender imho.

Thing with Yobo is he has 3 distinct playing styles.

1/ The fast athletic centre back - This is the one we praise.
2/ The footballer - This one is scary, this is the one where he thinks hes Arteta
3/ Youth player debutant - This is the one when he cant seem to make decisions and spends the whole game flat footed.

Luckily for us number 1 turns up most off the time.

I'd presume Jags is 1st choice....Then I would play Yobo. Of course Distain to come in when Yobo slobs off to the African Nations. Competion for places can be healthy. Good signing IMO.

I can't help thinking we may not see too much of Jagielka this season & so Yobo & Distin will be the centre-back partnership for the vast majority of games. Tbh, I really hope we bring in some more defensive cover that includes central defence, as I think we'll need it.
