Help me settle a debate with a friend.

Was recently chatting to a mate about how much money is 'left over' for yourself after pay day.

Both got half decent jobs on a decent salary.

After mortgage, car bills, travel, general bills etc he thinks having £100 for yourself a week is quite luxurious - I am inclined to disagree.

Thoughts?

I`ve mates who are minted, but in terms of cash in their pockets, seem just as skint as me most of the time.

The only difference being, they drive bigger cars, live in bigger houses, go on flasher holidays and pay for the kids to go to private school.

Mo money, mo problems.
Indeed.

Rooney got paid about £42k today though, so the likes of him don't count.

Yes, everyone lives by different means.

I'm interested to know when the Jag/Clio is paid and your £400/£1000 mortgage is paid - what's the left over beer tokens?

All depends what you class as disposable income.
We save a wedge every week to cover holidays Christmas etc.
We also have a budget for socialising and money in both our pockets for our own exclusive use.
Mine is spent on beer and grandkids hers is spent on clothes make up hair etc.
We found we were wasting money by not knowing where it went so now we budget 90% of our money including savings
I’ve about 100 Euro in my pocket a week just for me , doesn’t include going out with the missus.
