"Inaction is a weapon of mass destruction"
We gotta start calling people out, publicly, in front of their face, to discuss the issues if and when they arise.family, friends, fans, co workers, strangers. Good luck, people have wanted to fight me before when i've tried this though. Also seems to be a quick way of being ostracised, so perhaps not the best way to go about things, but we gotta say, SOMETHING!, keeping quiet does not work. It's like, one of these things where you think, 'should we not be a bit farther along than this?' This is still happening, maybe even increasing. Propaganda by the elites has much to answer for. anyone thinking along racist lines nowadays, well, get educated(not education in the school system sense).
Totally agree. I've been non-racist all my life. It's not enough. We have to be anti-racist.

There is no doubt that racist comments from leaders like Johnson here and Trump in America along with others around the world like Bolsonaro and Orban have encouraged (already existing) racists to be more verbal and more active.

Some really good write ups about racism at this club

From 2000: The Guardian

From 2001: The Telegraph

This club has a very dark history when it comes to race, so to see some on here critiquing the blacks lives matter movement was absolutely disgusting.

I was going to post about my experience at Windsor Park (as a Catholic) but tbh I feel it pales into insignificance.
And unlike some other clubs, we recognise the wrongs (which was rife in ‘80’s football and not just here), and change things for the better.

We don’t sweep things under the carpet. We deal with them.

This is a good read
