the talk of confidence is interesting, he's the only player in our team at the moment who shoots from outside the box, something we have lacked for a long time. he must have some confidence to shoot in some of the audacious positions we have seen recently. i get frustrated with some of our players who seem scared of shooting and seem to try and walk the ball into the net.

bily can score out of nothing, and that is a priceless ability.

totally agree, the lad got a sweet left foot and has scored some screamers the yesterday was cracking, more of that please billy

He should get that pseudo-mullet thing he had going in Moscow back, then he'll be pirouetting around Goodison like it ain't no thang.

I do love him though, proper diamond.

He played well first half against Wigan. We were attacking the Park End where I was and he'd obviously been told to try and keep it simple rather than run aimlessly at people and, tbf, he was linking up well with Osman and Baines. Not the sort of things you'd notice from a distance, but if you're close up then you see 'em.

With Drenthe being short of game time I'd expect Bily to start against the red sh*te, taking Neville's place.

Bily for me is a good player but not a Moyes player. Moyes prefers the predictability of Neville, the pass backs of lethargic Rodwell and the work ethic of Cahill. Drenthe is a breath of fresh air. Bily is a class player, in fact some of his passes outfox his teammates. I think he would work better in a more positive set up just behind the striker (not Cahill!) . Moyes is a defensive manager despite the wealth of talent he has.

I think the dream of seeing this guy one day playing just behind the striker will never happen. Undoubted talent, I believe he could play at a top team, obviously won't be with us though.

Drenthe love in I keep seeing hasn't convinced me any more than Bily has. If Bily played the pass he did yesterday he would have been raped by the crowd! Drenthe right now = a fast Bily. Some good and some bad.
