However , on the basis that the lids seem to dig him ,..

John Frusciante is a brilliant technician overall, even if it's in a much more sedate way.

That's what it's traditionally known as, Pantera didn't really do thrash did they? More of the kick you in the face with this sick groove thang!

Saying that, Strength Beyond Strength makes me want to destroy stuff.

I've gotten Anthrax and Pantera mixed up for about 7 years now.

It was Anthrax that were part of the big four, but I do personally prefer Pantera. Never much cared for the former.



And no Maiden because Maiden weren't really thrash, were they? Just heavy. Slayer, Metallica and Megadeth were the main ones imo. I still think it should have been called the "big 3", as Anthrax seemed a tier below.

Anyway, all that aside, Dimebag was a fantastic guitarist.
