well the tomtom packed in last week, the thing just wont power up, now i've been told that these things use more power than the cig lighter puts in so every now and then they need a good charge from the mains, i left it plugged in but switched off in the car to do just that (light was on so chatrging). it now wont turn on, worked fine before.
latest electrical gadgetry malfunction is the camera, can look at pics but camera wont work, and lens is stuck out so cant even file it away in its pouch.
so i started to have a quick gander at whats available, knowing there would be thousands, most of which very similar in spec and price.
i dont want to spend over a ton as
1. my phone has an excellant 5 megapixel camera.
2. its more for the missus than me.
3. more expensive equates to more functions ....refer to point 2.
4. kids will probably trash it anyway.
5. what costs £200 now will be £50 next year.
so, have you bought one of late ? has it proved good or duff. it's just for taking snaps really so pro-quality not required.

great for a beach hol near a reef,but i'll feel a bit of a tit in the paddock taking match snaps with it.
