Mate with all due respect that just isn't true. Firstly no way would Stones be picked over our CB's who this season are the best in the league. It's just illogical. Stones may (and probably will) be an awesome CB in the future but right now he isn't THAT good, he still makes mistakes. It's not even like Stones is better on the ball than either of our guys, who are probably the best 'in possession CB's' in the league.

How is Besic better than Dier? Besic can't even get a consistent run in your side, he has a total of 252 minutes all season. Dier has 23 apps, 2411 minutes so far, is a key player in the best defence in the league, has broken into the England side, is two years younger than Besic. Dier is basically one of if not the best DM's in the league, no contest. His stats outperform every one of his rivals including Besic's, in blocks, tackles won, interceptions, headers etc. I think only Coquelin for Arsenal is as good but he's been injured for a long time.

Also, we did not bid for Stones and never had an interest. Why would we when we signed Alderwereild and already had Vertonghen? No chance Spurs would spend 50 million on a CB Levy would never sanction that. We did look at Mirallas and we did look at McCarthy but dropped our interest in Mirallas and regarding McCarthy I think you guys just wouldn't sell. It worked out well though because we shifted Dier into midfield instead and he's been a revelation.

We are nothing like Leicester. We are a well oiled machine but we are also packed full of very talented players. Its all about when you have a top manager who is getting the best out of them though in a very effective system as without that you are nothing really.

In fact I'd also go as far to say we are better than the media are making out. We've only lost 3 games all season and only that by a one goal margin. Conceded least shots on target in the league, had the most shots on target in the league, best defense and a top 3 attack. All statistics show us to be displaying title winning credentials. The media are only starting to put us in the title race.

Will we win the league? I can't see it no. Vertonghen is out for a while now and Wimmer who has looked good in cup games will need to step up quickly. Regardless of all that though it's a good time to be a spurs fan!

I do want to add though I think Martinez is massively underperforming. You do have an excellent first 11 on paper but you aren't getting results. I think you've won just 3 games since September? How can he come out in the press and say Everton have the best young players in the league and float around in mistable? It doesn't add up and is a silly thing to say as it surely increases the pressure on himself? You guys should definitely be fighting for the top 4.
