that Osman wasnt playing? No didnt think so. Sit him next to Yobo when he's fit again Moyesey, we've clicked.

Osman is pretty good in the middle but Gosling is better on the right side of midfield from what we've seen so far. Done a good job out of position today too.

Don't want to make a separate thread about this, but I think we are a balanced side without Fellaini and I think the 15m should have gone elsewhere because we already have Cahill for the Cahill role and Rodwell will be a much better CM. [runs away]

Great squad player, but the weak link in the team. Gosling and Rodwell both performed better than Osman has in his last 6 or 7 games!

Id agree, but most love Fellaini on here now...But on his day he can be great. Get his head shaved and ill accept him. When we have Yakubu/Saha back joint with Jo, i dont know where Fellaini would fit in - with Cahill slotting back at AM, and Arteta and Neville forming a good partnership.

Dont agree with the fellaini bit. He has been a major factor in our success lately and is a superb player

Anichebe should play on the right, he's been our most effective player there this season. Gosling is still young, gifted but hit and miss. I think we saw that today and against Bolton.

Osman's a good central midfielder, a decent wide man. Gutted he's injureds but maybe this will give someone else a chance.

He's a very good player I agree, but he's shown himself to be an attacking midfielder and not a DM/CM! He's been brilliant playing in the Cahill role when we have no fit strikers. But I'd never play him over Cahill when everyone is fit because Cahill is Cahill!

Rodwell is showing potential to be a top-class all-around CM and Gosling looks very good as well on both sides of the field, I just think that if we spent that 15m on a pacy winger we'd have the last piece of the jigsaw!

good centrally, ineffective wide.

For me it's a case of Cahill or Fellaini in the long term, not both. Obviously that's if we want to keep our balance and shape.

Neither would be great alongside Arteta. It'd limit his impact on the game and he's a better central midfielder than them both put together.

But Gosling scored against Liverpool! He should be in the team on default, if you go by this site's mentality.

Back on topic, Gosling for me is better than Anichebe because he has technical skill, and desire. Don't be fooled by today's performance. It smelt of trying to reverse the "making a **** of myself".

And in 2 years when Cahill goes back home we have his ready made replacement, Fellaini will have learnt from the best.
I guess that's a fair point. Cahill has made it clear that he will want to return home before his career is over and that he is using his season as a recovery period with the aim of the next one being his best ever.

I've watched him all season mate, this performance doesn't fool me. He hasn't had a bad game outwide, in every game he's been effective and one of our better players.

Gosling gives the ball away far more than Anichebe and in terms of technical ability there isn't a massive difference. I'd rather have Victor out there.
