I would start by having a cull of all those bent solicitors and lawyers who knowingly get criminals off charges they are guilty of, to have any legal system work you need truth and we have little in our system at present

I personally think they should use scum like that for medicine experiments.

Whole point of prison is to rehabilitate people - those scum aren't people. They should be put down - just like a dog is when they attack.

It costs 30,000 to lock a person up for a year. They aren't worth it.

I would love to know how that figure is reached I really would. People on state handouts are expected to exist on about £70/£80 a week, put them in prison and it costs £600 a week, how?

Make no mistake Suits, if this had happened in the USA, the liberals here would have been picketing the courthouse in support of the perpetrators while trying to assign blame to the victim and his family.

That's the liberal mindset over here. Support cold blooded killers. They're the real victims.

Can't believe the sentences were that light. Do they have parole eligibility over there in England or do they have to serve the whole sentence?

The costs of running prisons. Wages etc.

I think the only decent thing to do would be to replace Big Brother with The Running Man.

I would actually be moved to take part in a phone-line vote for once in my life.

in an absolute shocking irony TX, would you believe the sentences are actually quite heavy in this case. (by comparison with other similar cases)

the political party that promises to tackle the so called justice system in this country will get my vote instantly. regardless of colour, creed, or religious persuasion. (bring on some elements of sharia)
