You may remember the suspicous house fire that killed 6 children. Horrific.

The case has gone to court now and it is all seriously messed up:

Mairead Philpott, her husband Mick and his friend Paul Moseley are charged with manslaughter after the couple's children died following a fire at their Derby home in May last year.
On day four of the case at Nottingham Crown Court, Philpott's ex-mistress agreed with a defence lawyer that Mairead Philpott was a good mother who loved her children.
Lisa Willis lived with the Philpotts at their house where she had a sexual relationship with Philpott. At one time 11 children lived there. Ms Willis had four children with Philpott, and one from a previous relationship.
The jury was told Mrs Philpott attempted suicide after Ms Willis left. She regarded her husband's former mistress "as the sister she never had".

How has this been allowed to happen? i mean that many kids in one house, for starters.

Saw this on the news today Mickers, both of them guilty of murder or just the dad? Absolutely awful but you had a feeling something wasn't right.

Just watching a programme on this. Absolute scum bag- I hope he never sees freedom again.

Completely agree. Lowest of the low. If anythingthe worst of it is his actions and calm behaviour in the days that followed. Any scumbag can come up with such a dangerous/stupid plan to frame his ex - but it takes a warped evil. [Poor language removed] to carry on happy as larry as if everything is alright.

i cant get my head around, any three of them agreeing to go ahead with that plan,

Just think about it. they want to light a fire to a house with 6 kids in it.

It seems i was more upset about the kids than there father was. hope he rots, infact i hope 3 of them rot.

he got done for manslaughter, i would be amazed if it was more than ten tbh

I suppose so, this is England after all.

He should be given 10 years for each kid, meaning he'll die inside.

If he ever walks free it'd be disgusting.
