Actually after watching today's games I'm feeling a bit more optimistic. Liverpool were second best for large parts of the game against Bournemouth. They've got players missing as well remember. If McCarthy and Barry are on form we can dominate midfield, and our defence is a hell of a lot better than theirs. Their big strength is that they're lethal in turning opportunities into goals, but if we do a decent job of containing Suarez and Sturridge we've got a real chance here.

Gerrard is shockingly past it he was dire today, I think our midfield could run the show. My biggest fear is young Stones he is a bit shaky just inexperienced at times so would prefer if he was on the judy somehow. Just got this feeling Ross will be back for this and Martinez hinted in his interview just now that Traore will join the squad on Monday wonder if he could be on the bench and the injury thing is all just mind games from the brown shoes one

Flanagan was involved today, I think he'll start on Tuesday. Sakho should also be back.

They only have Lucas out in their front 6, so it'll be a very difficult match. Their back 4 looks shaky, but this won't count for as much if they're on the front foot.

We need to get at them, and get at them early.
