It usually takes over a season for South American players to get used to the prem. Tevez was pretty lousy a little over the 1st half of the season at West Ham. Straq did OK when he got his chance as a lone striker when he started. If another club signs him (granted 5M is asking a bit too much) I think he could be a good full time starter for someone like Norwich or Wigan.

It's a shame they want £5m, I wanted to keep him just for his sheer passion and comical levels of commitment. He's probably a similar standard to some like Kuyt who has had a decent career even with limited skills. I'm sure he would have improved next season too as most south Americans do.

Understand why he was let go, but I'll never forget his header against Fulham, and his effort.

If you had Stracs work rate and energy, and Anichebes finishing you'd be onto a decent player i reckon.

He was absolutely epic at City. I was actually almost crying with laughter at this absolute retard just launching himself at every ball possible. Chasing everything down and just bounding around like he was on coke. I think that's the best performace for sheer passion and effort I've seen at everton for a long long time.

This. Shame he couldn't keep that level in every game he played, but then he'd probably have suffered some kind of aneurysm.

Well in Denis, good luck mate.

Ha yes I was in the paddock for that. Never been so happy a specific player getting a goal.

Thats when I stalked you all game and sniffed your seat when you left at full time

It smelt of olives
