You here and read a lot about club legends and I often think, nah their not really,But this fella was.
I was only a lad just starting to fall in love with the sport when he was playing, and Saturday afternoons were spent going to watch local games on a park with my plastic transitor radio with me. I remember listening to his back heel goal for Man City which effectively relegated Man utd.
Among many other players of that era, my love for the game was nurtured from the likes of Denis Law,RIP.

So the King of the Stretford End has gone to heaven in the sky hopefully , i can remember as kids kicking the ball all day around Ancoats , Beswick and Clayton etc all pretending to be Law , Best or Charlton that's all the Red Half of Manchester , even the Blues like him as well. its so very sad considering he had a an awful illness to put up with in his last few years . i think most football fans was had a lot of happiness from what a player for Denis Law was , not forgetting Tony Book either from City , 2 legends RIP
