Neither could I, but I don’t find it particularly odd that people are discussing his performance on a thread dedicated to him.But last night is meaningless.
If he starts the first few games of the season and doesn’t contribute then I’ll be disappointed but I couldn’t give a toss what happens on an American friendly tour.
Based in last night I'd say the fella cant be arsed that's for sure
I think he got fed up of receiving the ball in areas of the pitch miles away from goal and the lack of support whenever he didBased in last night I'd say the fella cant be arsed that's for sure
I didnt bother watching![]()
Ok, can we judge him on the last 5 or so years of his career, when he’s been absolute turbo crap?We had absolutely no control in the first half and all our forwards were living on scraps.
I wasn't impressed by him on the night but you could not judge anyone based on 45 minutes in the first pre season game.
He's a good player but we have an atrocious midfield in terms of technical ability that he has very little to feed off or interact with.
If we are not going to upgrade in that area then he wont shine.
Still no idea what position he should play

No point playing him if you’re going to play him there and ask him to spend most of the game chasing shadows

I’ve said it many times in here and I’ll say it again: The proportion of his career in which he was (admittedly, very) good is now in the minority. We really need to knock it off with the “there’s a player in there, somewhere” approach to signings. Otherwise, let’s bring in Barkley and Drinkwater and keep our fingers crossed they can randomly undo all the declining they’ve been doing over a similar period to Dele and somehow become useful again just because the fans REALLY want them to.
Dele Alli is crap. In my humble opinion, he will never again in his career be good enough to play in the Premier League. There’s a reason, as there always seems to be with our recent signings, that nobody else at this level was in for him and that’ll be the same reason we can’t shift him until his contract is up. I’ve never felt safer from vaulting than with this declaration.
He is an Everton player now and deserves to be judged on what he does for Everton.Ok, can we judge him on the last 5 or so years of his career, when he’s been absolute turbo crap?

off the striker.
Not wide left.
Like Jesse "he's got potential" Lingard, the near 30 year old manchild?!...We really need to knock it off with the “there’s a player in there, somewhere” approach to signings.
