yeah I watched him more closely on a re run of thew game and he was everywhere, he had one spell of 20 seconds where he gave it away cheaply, won it back, gave it away agian, won it back and gave it away again, apart from that spell, he did a terrific defensive midfield job, harrying and pressing

Im not convinced the Doucoure offers us anything that Iwobi isn’t currently providing, so a midfield 3 of Dele, Iwobi and a new defensive midfielder could work well.

Just thinking this, a defensive midfielder that can pass and tackle to sit behind those two would be great

If PSG are moving players around and still want Kean, then id go for a deal there that got us cash and Gana back. Wishful thinking but hes a specialist at the protector role.

Still has the game, can do the bit we need most the best. Kept himself in great shape, injury free, knows the league and would slot in perfect.

I think after his actions this week he wont be welcome at this club.

There were times on Thursday where he reminded me of Cristian Eriksson. Pass, move ,pass move get into space and dictate the pace of the game. He was always comfortable with the ball and never wasted possesion. Also the block of the defender made the space for DCL to score, theres still a top class player there, lets hope Lampard can sort the underlying issues.

Tbf there are midfielders in the prem who do lots of donkey work and are decent passers with it.
We cant fool ourselves that he should be anything but part of the squad. not a regular starter. We simply wont kick on.
