He'll stand a chance if he turns in some good performances but he didn't tonight. Our problem is it's not just like this is an isolated game where he hasn't played well. Why should we think he's going to improve in a side much worse than what he had to play with at Spurs?

I think tonight it was the wrong game to bring him into. I think when Gray went off we should have brought Kenny on and moved Townsend into Grays position. Dele is not a winger. He should be played centrally behind a striker.

He was definitely wearing the wrong clothes tonight. Should still be in his training gear building his fitness and form. Definitely too early to throw him in to the action but with the injuries we're getting, Lampard doesn't have many other options.

Not a great start but hasn’t played for a while. Settled a bit later in game and wouldn’t be writing him off just yet !
