DeGale/Groves - British Fight of the Decade?

DeGale is a right pillock!

He's the most average "potentially world class" boxer I've ever seen.

I hope he gets a hiding.

If you're a boxing fan, you've got to watch the video in this link ^^

I haven't seen a pre-fight promo that funny for a long, long time. DeGale comes across like a right pillock.

So is it a James DeGale win, or George Groves?

These 2 DO NOT LIKE each other , neither ,...

De Gale BOSS defensive fighter , but the other lad I like better ,....

Go the distance ,...

Its De Gale for me , and it could be an early nights work .

De Gale will then go onto world level , before finding out he isnt all that , a bit like Hamed when Barrera got hold of him , its something il look forward to , i hope Groves does it before then but i just cant see it .

Degale looked good against smith and everyone is raving about him, Paul smith was the perfect opposition for a slick Degale, he walks in, in straight lines with very little (if any) head movement. smith is tough but his style always complemented degales.

When i first started to follow Groves i thought we had something special, but he doesn't have seemed to improve as much as i thought he would and his defence is questionable.

I would have liked this fight to happen next year when they both have better names on their records.

But now my prediction would be
Heart Groves
Head Degale

I think Degale has looked sharp and Groves carries his lead hand low. then again so does degale who may cath a left hook.
Very exciting fight!!

Im sure they both boxed for the same club as amatures! Chunky Degale and Groves obviously dislike each other which goes back to the amatures should be a cracker and i think it will go the distance could'nt pick a winner though!

SPOILERS BELOW

The night is under way, and the first fight goes to the form book.

Billie-Joe Saunders stops Hammond in the 2nd round after two blistering rounds of non-stop pressure. A body shot forced Hammond to a knee late in the second, and another just before the bell put him away for good.

Looked very, very good. Lightning hand speed. That's nine in a row for Saunders.

"Funtime" Frankie Gavin vs. Young Mutley

Amateur superstar Gavin takes on 35-year-old Mutley next.

1st Round - All Gavin as he picks off Mutley with sharp shots from behind a sound amateur style, which doesn't let Mutley get a look in.

2nd Round - Bit of a borefest as Gavin continues to dominate with selected shots whilst Mutley offers nothing in return.

3rd Round - Same again. Gavin nearly falls over after losing his balance, but a punch didn't cause it. Mutley has thrown about two punches so far.

4th Round - And again... Mutley doing nothing, Gavin diving in and out with a very unorthodox Southpaw style with a low guard.

5th Round - It's an amateur fight basically, and a one sided one at that. Gavin throws the occasionally incisive left, but generally he throws enough to win the round - which given Mutley is throwing around two punches around isn't saying much.

6th Round - Halfway mark, and one of the dullest fights of the year. Gavin has "won" every round.

7th Round - I give up round-by-round coverage because it's bloody awful. I'll do the Groves/deGale fight instead!
