What we can do is stop players from charging at the defence and getting shots on goal.

For that you need good midfielders.

Just watched the Clattenburg derby on ESPN and re-affirmed my hatred for him and Gerrard, he shook Gerrard's hand when he was subbed the tvvat

I know it was very early, but the play was just calling out for either Baines or Coleman to foul Hoilett further up the pitch. Just shocking all around that we concede a goal like that from an attacking corner kick. Very poor decision from Neville.

Totally agree, should never again be played together as a "partnership" in the Everton midfield! At times yesterday they were embarassing, god help us if they are paired together again next sunday!

Is there another team who has as many deflected goals scored against them as us? I remember last season it seemed just about every goal we conceded for a couple of months came from a deflection. And usually 2 minutes later we have a deflected shot which goes just wide.
And again today, a deflected goal.
