Comments (0) Add to My Stories Share Everton have made an enquiry to sign Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata on loan.

The Belgium international, 20, had been mentioned as part of a possible £17m deal to take Gary Cahill from Bolton to Eastlands but he is unwilling to join Owen Coyle’s side.

On the radar: Everton are tracking Dedryck Boyata
Boyata’s father Bienvenu said: ‘There was talk of a swap with Cahill at Bolton, but Dedryck does not want to go there. Everton are showing interest in him as well, and they are very much an option for him.’

I know its paper rubish but i rate this lid highly, he actually played some games last season against the eventual top 4 and really impressed me, he got a totally unjustified red against Chelsea as well i think.

His father's now also gone on record and said this to Sky Sports News

"If Dedryck will get the promise from coach Mancini that he will get sufficient playing opportunities he will stay for sure," Bienvenu told Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

"There could be a deal made with Gary Cahill from Bolton, but Dedryck doesn't want to go to that club.

"Everton are showing interest in him as well, and they are very much an option for him."

Do we need him? Unless he's any good at leftback there's half a dozen players who'd be in the team ahead of him.

He'd get as many splinter's in his arse at goodison as he would at City.

Depends who we sell. We only have four experienced CBs, Distin, Jags, Yobo, and Heitinga and of those four only Jags hasn't been linked to a move away. If we lose both Yobo and another, then yes we will really need cover there so a loan's not a bad idea, especially if we think Duffy can make it long term.

So hes 20 years old, clearly he has a lot to learn.

He doesnt need to learn it here.

We aint some feeder Club, no matter what Kenwrong thinks.
