I intended this as a PM to @TX Bill but think it's suitable as a message to any other Americans who may be offended by my constant ribbing of Jozy Altidore and anti-gun stance. This is a genuine attempt to explain things and not a post aiming to wind anyone up or make anyone laugh. So yeah:

Bill,

I can't answer your questions because the thread was locked but I assure you I have no agenda against your country. I don't know why you'd think I do?

It's just that I don't particularly like kids being shot all of the time facilitated by a three hundred year old law that bares no relevance in today's society. And you disagree. We can argue the toss all day, but it doesn't mean I have an agenda against you or your country and I'd never assume that because of this you have one against me or England.

I think Radical Islam and intolerance within middle Eastern countries is a massive problem, even more so than the US which on the whole is one of the world's most tolerant and civil countries. I was just stating that when a country (any country) is involved in so many wars there are bound to be innocents caught in the crossfire - I'm sure the British army kills thousands of innocents every year too, and I say this as someone with numerous family members currently serving.

It's not a vendetta or agenda, and I haven't used any personal insults towards you.
I just don't rate Tim Howard as highly as many of your countrymen and it surprises me the high regard that Jozy Altidore is held in, which is a source of amusement for many. I also laugh at how highly English people (my compatriots) rate Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson, Andros Townsend etc. but there's no reason to suggest I dislike this country either.

If you want to start banning people for the sake of banning people as you suggested because you have the power to do so then that's completely your decision.

Thanks.

I don't rate Howard either so your not alone there.

This is not directed towards you but in general, it's more about how everything bad in this world somehow, at least on this forum, gets blamed on us when many times (not all the time mind you) it's nothing close to the truth.

No, I'm not going to just start banning for the sake of banning but man and going boogatz crazy, but it just gets old with how people naively think that EVERYTHING is our fault. Are we a perfect country? Not even close. We do the best we can and sometimes, the best we can isn't good enough.

I'm all for opinions as that's how this forum runs. It's got nothing to do with football players or even about God/Guns/Religion/(Name your topic). I've got no problem at all with people expressing their opinions on those subjects. We can always agree to disagree at the end of the day.

But man, some of the stuff I read on here about my country just makes me shake my head and wonder why?

Suprised how strongly @TX Bill takes the criticism of his country, or the stupid jokes for that matter.. Personally I think it's is just fashionable to be against US. Especially left wing symphatizers do that. Wums.

Bill you sound absolutely mental in the last few posts in other threads, but you're reacting to antagonisation. I'm not sure where I'm going with this.

Maybe everyone should chill out and remember we're here for Everton, pasties and bumming?

Still threads about paedophilia and all crap like that keeps popping out. This is a football forum.....

Fair Dinkum Seppos.

That you keep Kayne West up on that pedestal when he's obviously just a wierd nutbag amuses us down here.

He's about as talented as a Fart Stain on your good sheets and to disrespect Beck's time in the limelight is a crime.

I blame America.

Lads, thanks for your contributions.

There's one thing I would say whether you are pro US, anti US, pro Muslim, anti Tory, whatever your views are, treat the subject of your views and people opposing them with respect.

When we do that on GOT we get some amazing contributions, however when there's a lack of respect for the subject or individual then chaos occurs.
