Day to yourself

How would/do you fill a day to yourself ? I currently work Monday to Friday and have weekends off. My Mrs works every Sunday from 8-4.30 so I have a day to myself, I usually waste/enjoy it by having a lie in (after a few beers Saturday night), then I get up mid morning and make a coffee before lying on the sofa watching Del and Rodney on UKGold until the footy starts .. proper waste of a day really and I always promise myself it will be different next week… but it never is. Time to yourself is precious to be honest , how do you spend yours ? (Obvs not everyone here has a partner so I apologise if this don’t apply to you)

Another thread, Kurt?!

I think I can save you some time and say that this is probably how the majority of lads on here spend their time on their day off:

I would hunt you down and skillsaw off all of your fingers to stop you making crap threads.

Then bum your head raaar in.

I get pretty much every day to myself.
A lot of days I don’t see anyone else, let alone talk to them.
I’ve stopped bothering other people by attempting conversation as it often confuses/irritates them, not their fault. I must just come across as overly talkative to them, as I know it will probably be my only interaction of the day.

I wake, do a quick wordl or a few other puzzles, grab my breakfast between 6.30 and 7, watch and learn stuff off youtube until I want to crack on and do stuff around the house or shed, start work, immediately need a [Poor language removed], carry on working on stuff unnoticed by the wife, stop for coffee around 10.30 and read the absolute nonsense written on this site while listening to some music. If I'm skillfull enough, or if you balloons distract me enough, I can make coffee last until lunchtime.

After lunch I spend a while clearing up the shed, after whatever it was I was doing, ambling around the garden or wipe bird poo off a car, before contemplating mid afternoon tea, a bit more music and, if I think I earned it, maybe a biscuit with a bit more music. Maybe I'll light a pipe.

Then I contemplate tea (dinner) while looking to see if the grass has grown.

The rest of the day I waste watching the tv both the missus and I can tolerate together - which at least cuts down on the endless conversation about whatever.

And then bed, thinking about the days stolen from me before I retired.

Sniff it.

Kurt are you on half term or something?

Among future threads will be..

Which shoelace do you tie first ?
Which side of the car is your favourite door ?
How do you decide which side of your toast to butter ?
