I don't know what Schneiderlin has on Allardyce, but there must be something, because if Schneiderlins' available; he's first choice. Klaassen is caught up in the Everton midfield numbers dilemma. He deserves to play...but then, so do all the rest of them.

I heard he was "sick".
Is it not more that Sam is "sick" of his half hearted, error strewn unrepentant performances?
Great player on his day, but that day was last season and he obviously wants out of the the door.

To me it looks like Sam is giving Snides some starts in the hope he'll play well to get a good move somewhere else, but Snides knows wherever he goes he'll get well paid and doesn't want to bump his price up. Looks already tapped up to me

I think a consummate professional would be demanding to play in the u23s to help adapt See Oumar.
On this mate, Oumar was forced down to the u23s by Koeman, wasn't allowed near the first team, at least Klaassen has been training with the first team all season so wasn't part of the u23 setup like Niasse was

So, you believe Unsworth would allow a player to decide that he should be in the team and not the manager himself? Thats an interesting concept, but not sure it’ll catch on.
How's this for an interesting concept, £25 million player comes from an inferior league and struggles with the pace and physicality goes to the first team manager and suggests that a spell in the u23s may help him bed in. Do you really think the first team manager doesn't have the clout to tell Unsworth to select him.? Strange that the first time he plays for the u23s he's straight back into the first team squad and is given some game time.

If Scheiderlin is first choice why has he been starting on the bench ?

It's like none of this is happening!

Schneiderlin has been quite obviously been dropped by Allardyce yet he is getting slated for being an automatic starter! The Allardyce hate is getting silly now. Hate him for his boring football, hate him for the fact he drinks red wine from a pint glass, don't hate him for stuff that is not happening.

Maybe it's because before his lack of professionalism and poor form shown this season, which he is rightly out of the team for at present, he has played in the Premier League since 2012-13 and for the most part been a good player at that level.

Klaassen is inexperienced in this league and was given 13 appearances at the start of the season and quite simply looked out of his depth. As we have little to lose I don't see the harm in putting Klaassen in once we're safe but managers are going to go with the proven Premier League player who has shown he is good enough at this level rather than someone who has struggled.

Where's he gone again? Gets two cameos and is bombed out again? Surely he's just depreciating in value if you never give him a go we will never know if he's up to it
