Quiet on the Everton front this weekend so let's have a look at a former player.

This is a player given his debut by Howard Kendall, a debut on which he scored.

This is a player who is a member of the last Everton team to win a trophy.

This is a player who came back to stand on the Gwladys Street to watch a game AS A FAN while he was playing for another club.

Doing a cracking job with the U23's currently, I personally think he'll be the next Everton manager once the time comes (but hopefully not too soon).

Here's to David Unsworth.

Rhino!! Solid at the back in his day. Turned into an excellent U23s manager . Evertonian. Next manager? Possibly but lacks experience and profile. Also the job he's doing at the moment could be too important to lose him. We'll see.

Met him at the Paradox once. We were very very drunk and met him coming out the lav. Not only were we drunk, but probably annoying also, but he stopped and talked to us for over an hour.
Absolutely loves Everton that lad.
Top bloke and top player.

bona fide Everton Legend imho

He joined West Ham and was surprised to discover they were a London team when it was explained to him. Even though it was all signed and sealed he managed to talk his way out of it.

Gotta love the fella...

That is a really good point.

Maybe in his current role Rhino might just be giving the club more in the long term. Managers come and go but building the best underage set up in the league may well need much more continuty. If the conveyer belt works as a result, we save and gain do much more.
