2025/26 David Moyes

Honestly mate respect your opinion just tho been going to the away games this season not all like but the United away and Fulham away I will take to the grave had a great time. Honestly got my mojo back being an evertonian so can't call him this season but I've had some special moments with my son looking at the smile on his face special times.
Imagine taking him to a few cup finals ;)

Mate he's an adult now but he goes every away game and is praying we get into Europe he loves the club so much I've had a season ticket for 40 years just want him to see us win something... praying
Same here
My lad is 28 been taking him since he was a kid.
Took him to Wembley twice in all that time. He loved it but is very envious he's not experienced what we have.
He was close to giving up under Jaffa boy , the new stadium has given him hope again.
Lets hope the club acknowledge this and give our young generation something to be proud of.

Back to the point
I dont think we get that under Moyes.

And those days shouldn't be so few and far between, for me personally this football club and our loyal fans shouldn't have to remember away days to Fulham or Utd getting 3 points, yes im sure it was boss I know my son was at both and loved it, but we should be aiming for much better than this, lifting trophies again, winning big games more regular, first step getting in the CL regular. (This doesn't happen with Moyes)

I think its sad that they are recent boss memories of this club.

I respect Moyes for what he done last season but we've had numerous open goals this season to push and he has blew it, he always does.
For this club to move forward he has to go in the summer. Now is the time to strike with a lot of clubs in turmoil.
Clubs who have been competing for the CL spots in recent years are a mess, Liverpool Chelsea Utd Newcastle Spurs, this season has been a massive opportunity for everyone

And here we are struggling to make the Conference electricians league (I don't want us anywhere near that thing) while the mighty Bournemouth and world famous Brighton are all but there in the Europa league with a chance for CL

That's on Moyes IMO.

Moyes wins 2 on the bounce then a draw, and will be like win this we go 3rd, and then we will have Coventry at home, boom defeat
Then we will lose 2 on the bounce and then have City Chelsea Villa and we all think 0 points there, boom 4 points.

There is zero consistency with him, never has been never will be.

Would take conference league all day long think we would have great chance of winning it. We have been crapping ourselves for many seasons at the end incase we would go down I'm sick of the stress so are many is he the manager to take us forward I don't know. Personally I'm happy to have a none stress season in our new stadium but can understand your feelings and everyone has different opinions I personally would give him another season... don't flip ha ha

Haha im sound mate just want us to be boss again like everyone else does, we just have different opinions on how we try to get there. ;)

Anyway win lose or draw tomorrow im sure this thread will be lively again haha

Some seem to think it will be easy tomorrow because of Palaces midweek efforts plus their manager giving them a night out yesterday.

im going 1-1 and more chaos in here.

Hopefully we are still about to see the smile on their faces 💙

We have hit that point of the season when all things are coming to a close.
The heat is rising by each single post.

Even with a win tomorrow, I now don't expect anything different.

when you grow up, you’ll realise that David Moyes has done way more for Everton than Carlo Ancelotti. Truth is you already know that, you also know exactly what I’m saying, but you give your evenings up trolling, which is truly pathetic.

I’m not sure if you go the game, I can check your postings during match threads, but I suspect not. If you honestly think Ancelotti did more for Everton than Moyes has then you’re nothing but a worthless troll, you may enjoy playing that role, I hope you do. I’m annoyed I’ve fallen for it. But fact is, Ancelotti is a way way better manager than Moyes, but Moyes has done way way more for Everton than Ancelotti has (and because he bailed at first opportunity) and ever will do

Thank you for admitting that Carlo is a way way better manager.

I've never brought Carlo's record up at Everton, that was you.

That's true, Carlo bailed on Everton and went on to win trophies for his new club.

When Moyes bailed on Everton he took his new club to its lowest ever finish in the Premier League at the time.

I can’t believe that people would prefer to return to manager merry go round of previous decade, then give Moyes another season. There are possibly a couple a manager realistic replacements that would give us a few good seasons but as for now I would rather stick than twist. If we don’t improve then I it’s Time to go, but this season has been drama free, and pretty decent

As adults people need to realise big boy lessons. If someone’s got more money than you, and they are trying to buy the thing same limited item you do it always going to be difficult to it.
Yes you get wind blowing in your favour occasionally. But fully grown adults are crying that a manager isn’t getting the 7 bedroom house with the 3 bed semi budget.
The greatest prediction of where you will finish in a season is by the salalies you pay.
Take a look at our salaries - factor in two of hour biggest earners baranthwaite and Grealish have played less than half the games - and even fewer together.
We are are midtable team in a midtable position.
Take Villa salaries 6th highest in the league- they have done well but have a huge payroll they have taken advantage of poor seasons from rivals and have the largest salary by far in the UEFA cup. We can’t compare ourselves to them until we match them.
Brentford are the team we need to look at, there ability to buy players at low salaries (lowest in the league) and get consistent midtable performances is phenomenal.
Every team has loyal fans, there’s nothing deserving about that. We don’t deserve trophies because of the fans. Trophies come from good players and good management. Both of them need money.
Moyes has been decent… if you want a top four / top 6 finish without a top 6 budget I think he would be the man. But we are going to need a luck with injuries and few bad seasons from those around us.

Blaming the manager is daft. Ancelloti is brought up a lot, but we finished midtable with him and he had spent a boat load.

Being a football fan is for some people is like being a whinging wife bleating on about how the Christmas isn’t as magical as the ones they see on tv, despite the fact you are stood there in chrimbo pj’s, house lit up like Blackpool, kids have had new bikes. The worse bit about the day was the wife ruining. End of the day you are never going to compete with the Hollywood portrayal of Christmas if you don’t have a Hollywood budget…

You seem to have cut Bournemouth out of that, I can't think why. They sit just below Sunderland in 17th on your table but 6th in the premier League. And Brighton are 15th in your table but 7th in the league. And then there's Palace who are very like to be winning their second trophy in two seasons who are also below us in the wages league.

I'm being a bit facetious because yes, I do accept that those who pay higher wages have a higher chance of sustained success. But if that's the case then you need to use other variables, like maybe changing the manager. All of the three above clubs have excellent young managers who I'd take over ours.

And considering our manager's the 7th highest paid in the league, isn't he also underperforming?
