2025/26 David Moyes

they have been poor with the teams they signed for.
Rohl has shown in his limited time on the pitch that moyes should have been more willing to use the 'compromise signings', the fact he refused to barely even try develop them into the squad is one of the many reasons hes always just been a slightly above average manager.
Agreed. He should have used the signings a lot more throughout the season. Maybe he would of got some more points on the board if he freshened it up during games instead of flogging the same players to death.

" he wanted Soucek over Rohl"....sorry, just threw up a little in my mouth reading that. If Moyes has final say on transfers, we will be the MLS of the EPL..a place where aging professionals can go for one last big money deal. The age of tge squad and size of those contracts will hurt us for yearz
Indeed. This is what will be interesting over the next year or so, as there will be tension between Moyes and the recruitment team. Kinnear has already said that one of the major aims is to bring the average age of the squad right down. If this isn't in Moyes' plans at all then something will have to give.

According to the bobble and his team on his podcasts, Etikite, delap and woltmede were the choices over Barry in the summer. Etikite and Woltmede were no goes from the beginning. Delap was still a chance til he agreed to join Chelsea. In January just gone, they was looking at Tammy Abraham and Harry Wilson. Abraham made it clear he wanted Villa from the get go. Wilson would have come if they agreed a fee with Fulham. Wilson will now likely sign for Villa in the summer now. They was also looking at right backs in January but agreed that the players available wouldn’t have made much of a difference. Wasn’t McGinn and Soucek in the last summer window?

Hutchinson and McAtee were the other two right sided players they was looking at. Both were considered but the transfer fees weren’t considered good enough. Hence why they went with Dibling. Pretty sure City wanted like a 25% sell on fee as well £35m.

Hopefully we are now in a much better position to recruit the clubs first choice targets in the summer and get them early. Hopefully we can have a right attack at finishing in those European places next season and be comfortable doing so.
Yes soucek and McGinn was last summer, already a few rumours of McGinn again. With stones and ben white, Ake etc. I think 2 ready made players is fine as long as they don’t break the bank, but we can’t be signing 4 or 5

Interesting the soucek rumours got quite strong towards the end of the window and in the last day with sign a young CM in Rhol, did the committee pull the plug, due to the price and wages ?
I can see Moyes going for Bowen if West Ham go down

Definitely according who?

the majority of links we see are made up guff by the media because they need to make clicks or because the manager has managed them before. Doesn’t mean anything has genuinely happened.

But at the same time, I’d be disappointed in our whole set up if we weren’t running the rule over hundreds of players every window
According to people who know, Moyes really liked him, the committee thought he was over priced and Dibling had a much higher ceiling.

Clearly doesn’t have final say then does he? As we signed Rohl and not soucek

According to Bobble and his team. Moyes wants experience and leaders for this summer. Probably a reason why those type of players are been linked. Would they be my choice? No. Me personally I think we need 6 players in the summer. RB, LB, CB, CDM, LW and a CF. We also need to add pace in the team. If we had more pace in this team, imo we would have gotten a few more points, especially at home.

I think the fee was too much for Everton if remember correctly. Isn’t he out of contract in the summer? Everton wanted to pay up to £12m, West Ham wanted £15m plus.

It’s going to be an interesting window and wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of noise comes out about turmoil between Moyes and the rest of the committee. Clearly not on the same page of recruitment policy.

I don’t think he is on a free and I still wouldn’t want him, Moyes bigging him up the other week, if he was that good he wouldn’t have stayed at West Ham for 6yrs

My best mate is a West Ham fan and was begging us to sign him last summer. He was a good player but his legs have gone. Two years ago you’d have had him. Saying that, think he’s had a decent season for West Ham this year.

On next season: "You need to have more younger players and to have the in the bench. We dont have enough of that".

It's utterly staggering that this spinner believes we need more younger players bench warming.

How on earth is the feller still here.

"We've had a good year this year".

48 'kin points.

Lol.

His scandalous failure to hold up his hand for the game management the other night and to throw players under the bus for it underlines what a 💩house he is.

I wouldn't indulge any of that if I were the club. He's either aligned or he is not the man they need.
