2025/26 David Moyes

The issue is, it shouldn't be Barry/Beto or Harrison/Lindstrom conundrum eggs. He's signed off on Barry and Dibling and that's 62m worth of players that have contributed 1 goal and 0 assists. Its not good enough, it's not acceptable because we cant afford to spunk money on rank average players who dont fit how we want to play as it isnt 2017 anymore where we can waste money and then suffer for the next 8 years.

Its shocking recruitment and Moyes has played a huge part of that.

It’s funny because he’s said a few times that the club are in no position to spend £60 million on a player. £30 million each on two crap players is absolutely fine though.

You needs players. Do people genuinely think anyone will do better with no investment in the squad.

Fluid attacking football without the players will just result in pumpings.
I agree the squad is very thin and lacks quality in quite some places. But we have enough quality to survive comfortably, no matter which style of football you prefer. For me, I prefer a more positive approach to matches, which I think is doable with our squad.

There is a reason Moyes has a terrible record against topsides. If you don't even try to beat them and play "safe", you will almost never beat them. The one time we actually had a positive mindset (well, everyone bar one 😉), was the match against United away. And guess what, we got a result.

If the owners keep him on in the summer you know they see this as a money making operation to sell eventually and Roma is their show pony they're looking to win a few shows with.
Because we lost to the league leaders?
I've seen Arsenal doing that to teams not in transition from relegation candidate to improvement numerous times this year. They are brilliant at limiting opposition chances, the best in the league by far.
Weird fantasy you've got going on there

They're not in great form. We never exploited that. I cant remember a decent chance for us. It was a bit clueless.

They make lots of teams look clueless and their form is far more strong games than not They are top of the league and CL table. Disappointing, but not in the least bit suprising. Sometimes you just have to tip the hat to the opposition and accept it without pointing fingers

We did nothing to threaten them at home with a massive build up of atmosphere.

If you think that deserves some praise then so be it. I dont.

Any summary of what he said ? I can’t stand the voice of the Everton interviewer with his nonsense spin and the press conference attendees are probably more arsed about being in a warm room

Just remember that David Moyes sees the players in training every day…

*plays Dwight “monoped” McNeil on the right…

Arsenal hit the post twice and could have won a lot easier than they did, we looked absolutely clueless trying to score a goal tonight. Shambles all round again but we aren’t going down so there’s that. It might be an idea during the season to give squad players meaningful minutes during games, especially if you know suspensions/injuries/AFCON are a reality.
