Absolutely ridiculous the manager is playing players that win us matches.

I promise this is very fair. The manager can play to win matches in the present tense and actually do that and get us Europe.

Or the manager can take a longer view and while still trying to win every week also rotate players, experiment with lineups, get minutes for players who might develop in those minutes and work to generally improve the level of play of the team both in and out of possession. At which point he deserves some leeway on results.

I can’t imagine something more fair than that. He literally gets to choose!

Again this is kinda my point though. We should be trying to build up the quality in the team and if we were doing that finishing basically anywhere is fine. But we’re playing loanee Jack Grealish, James Tarkowski and Idrissa Gueye every week. The tactical progression doesn’t really exist either. This is not indistinguishable from a cerca 2009 Moyes team. The only way to make progress is to win a lot. 10th isn’t enough.

Yeah, you tell em! We don’t want players like Dewsbury-Hall making this team better do we?

I haven’t gotten around to Zat’s “if you’re so smart you tell me who we should sign” request yet but I promise I still would not have signed him. He’s better as a player than I thought (though not as a 10, which has really hamstrung us for awhile) so that’s nice in that it’s only bad value and not money literally lit on fire.

But Moyes making him an undroppable key cog in the team? Not for me. But hey if we finish 7th that would be fine!

I dont know why you "support " Everton . Been honest you dont.
Its just a hobby to try and show how smart you think you maybe .

Whether you want Moyes in or not, Dave should never be relied on to be part of a normal conversation on any subject. He is completely inconsistent and changes the goalposts constantly. (Which I guess means he is consistent, but only in regards to changing the goalposts) it doesn’t matter if he sometimes hits on something true or interesting, his whole way of debating means he can’t be taken seriously

Thats called patience.. You gradually progress your distance without hampering yourself by trying it all at once.
