2025/26 David Moyes

….if we pull off an unexpected win, it’ll be very quiet and you’ll be disappointed. If we’re beaten, it’ll just be pages of the same stuff.
If we do that then it would be great tbh, it would show he can actually stand up and be less stubborn and is prepared to make meaningful changes that can win us a game at what is a traditionally difficult ground for us.

By the way: Villa 4th - that underlines what we all really know: the PL is overrated and 💩.

Us being 13th is UNACCEPTABLE.

There’s a lot of meh teams in mid table. There’s a big opportunity there for us this season to push ahead of a few teams. A win tonight puts us back amongst the conversation, we need to be going all out for it.

Would you say Nuno is an elite manager?
No, he is a decent manager but tbh Id put him at the same level as Moyes. He has very basic tactics that he rarely changes from and he has fallen out with the board at every club he has been at. He is in the "Good PL manager" category for me and nothing more whereas Emery is another level up from both, his trophy cabinet backs that up tbh.

Today is one of those times in the season where Moyes reaches for his trusty brown trousers from the wardrobe. I’d love to see him take the game to a very ordinary and depleted Man Utd and go after a win but he just can’t seem to do it, somehow still treating them like Sir Alex was in charge. I expect we will see Jake at right back and Garner back in midfield this evening.
