2025/26 David Moyes

so whom you want then
Iñigo Perez
Marco Rose
Adi Hutter
Maaaaybe Liam Rosenior depending on how things go for him

There's a bunch of young exciting managers with track records of their sides playing above their means who would jump at the chance of a prem job.

Not now though, end of the season, planned succession with an actual purpose please

I have always been somewhat agnostic on Moyes. I see both the benefits and limitations he brings.

The thing is though I couldn't ever see him replicating Forests result today. He hasn't and most likely never will.

In a scenario where the RS are struggling for form, Moyes would find a way to snatch a draw from victory or a hard-luck defeat from a plucky draw.

Let's see what Monday brings in the same vein. Friedkin will draw this same conclusion. It is just a question of when and how much more $$$ they will allow to be spent.

He panicked early too and that must have contributed to targets becoming wary of signing for a manager who was so obviously out of sorts with his own club.

He screwed up that summer window. I'm pretty sure he contributed nothing positive to it, for sure.

I want us to spend in January because we need it at RB and CF (as we did in the summer). But at the same time I could see those new owners wondering whether it's worth handing any cash to Moyes.
I wouldn’t trust Moyes with funds after his disastrous summer and his spending at West Ham. Keep your money, punt him in the summer and set things up properly then.

A one-off splurge is not funding. Funding is consistent and leads to improvement every window. We need to fund our manager consistently - not use the club as a personal fiefdom for theatrical self-aggrandisement or for money laundering purposes.
Yep and if we want proof then the January window after he got us up to second is pretty clear proof of this. Clearly we’d sold him a lie and he’d sussed that out and decided to go.

At the same time, I wouldn’t have seen Dyche do it with Burnley or at us. I don’t rate Dyche but it just shows what having attack minded players who can execute can do for you. They did that with 25% possession.
