2025/26 David Moyes

We also spent a record amount though, if we’d sold Branthwaite for £70m this summer I’m sure it wouldn’t stop people using the “we’ve spent £100m” thing. We haven’t had him available as it is this season so the only difference it would’ve made to where we are right now is on the balance sheet.

I see.

I spent £20 on a pint yesterday. Robbing gets.

They give me £14 back in change mind, but still, for a moment there, I spent £20.

Must be a record spend for me on a pint that.

Are you trying to say that the value of the pint is the same regardless of how much money you choose to give them for it on the day?? Well, I agree with that.

Yes mate.

You say “etc etc” like there’s more? We have to play all of Man Utd, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal and Bournemouth in the next 6 games, with Forest’s £400m squad being the other game.

That made yesterday's win even more important since all 3 promoted teams look competitive this year and you have 2 teams with West Ham and Forest down there that are clearly underperforming from their squad strength.

Don't go to Scandinavia mate! Especially Norway and Iceland.

I gave up going to pubs when my regular haunts went over €5 for a stout.

If I drink at all now, it's an odd can or a glass of vino at home...and I can smoke in peace!!

You were saying last season you were being gaslighted into lowering expectations. Now you’re saying that teams below us in the table will be heavy favourites against us at our own stadium. Ridiculous hypocrisy.

I haven’t said that at all, if you read again but very carefully this time. Arsenal aren’t below us in the table. Neither are Bournemouth, Chelsea or Man Utd who we play in the away games. Newcastle currently are but will be back above us if they win their game in hand today. Forest we’ll be favourites for, but it will be a tough game because they have a good squad. Are you angry that I suggested Forest will be a tough game, is that it?

No excuses last season

Every excuse possible this season
