2025/26 David Moyes

Yes, that could be the case right not but if we have no improvement over time then who falls on the sword?
Who hands in their resignation? I suppose the person(s) in the department who is not demonstrating capability in their role and doesn't have the confidence in their ability to improve their performance and meet the requirements of their role.

This is a dead weird way of having a conversation btw, why don't you just say what you mean instead of asking loaded questions?

Moyes averaged 57 points in 11 full seasons in his last spell at the club.
Martinez got 72 points in his 1st season which would have got you champions league for past 10 seasons.
You could argue Martinez inherited a good defence but the difference is you had a manager willing to take risks.
I don't dislike Moyes but i doubt he will get us pushing for Europe anytime soon.

People who never wanted him back in the first place want him sacked it seems, they won't be on here if we win a few, it sickens them if we win a game.
I never wanted him back for the reasons we are seeing now. He was never the future. However, even I have to acknowledge the superb job he did to get us safe and pronto last season. I don't want him sacked - I hope he gets through to May because that allows our competent professionals to actually come up with the plan they palpably didn't have when Dyche hit the buffers. Now that Moyes is, potentially, about to do the same, have they learned their lesson?

If we win against Fulham, the speculation will cease because Moyes will be par for the course. If we don't win, he'll take his knife to the Old Trafford gunfight, get nothing (probably due to a VAR decision), and find himself desperately needing a boost against Newcastle or Bournemouth.

Then it's a reunion with Gravel Tones. Oh, the irony if the Moyesiah is locked in a relegation death match with his predecessor. Now, that's genuine grounds for the sack.

Nah.

A couple of posters who never wanted him back want him sacked right now

Most just believe we should change in the summer but don't think changing mid season is a good idea

The "won't be on here" I don't think is true. Who disappears when we win? Name names :)
They'll be struggling with that one as we don't win many...

This demonstrates that Moyes builds sides to a certain point - but is not the man to take it to its summit. Martinez was better at that - but would never build that side in the first place. Hence, the subsidence the following year.

Everton needs a cultural purge. No more old boys. Reboot. Get a new guy in over the summer, no baggage, no knives to gunfights. We are a fetid genepool. We need new blood to start a new era. Son of Bill has had his time.

Ive been very critical of moyes this season and I feel if he cant win against Fulham he should go as I don't see us winning for awhile after that game under moyes , due to us playing Chelsea and man United, teams he historically does not fare well against. I would love for Moyes to win a game , I actually thought he was excellent last season but he seems incapable of being adaptable this season.

From a good article in the Athletic;

Surprised by that. Would be intrigued to know more, wonder whether oldest squad by average age across all, or oldest in terms of who has played.

[Edit] assume played. Villa an Fulham have older average age in squad.

It calls it a summer rebuild, but most weeks we are are starting with 9 players that were here last season (and struggled badly for much of it), so I don’t see why we would be doing much better.

(Not sure playing Rohl, Dibling or Aznou would be transformative either)

How does that fit vs average now? ^^ 22.9

He thinks he's Ancelotti though. Watch him enter his next press conference tomorrow with his 'trademark' cup of coffee, sipping away at it like he's Don Carlo.

The ego of this feller knows no bounds. He believes because he landed a third grade euro piss post it entitles him to do wtf he wants at Everton.
The audacity of the man for sipping at his coffee when it's nice and hot. He should have let it go cold, then pulled that face we all pull after we forget to drink it and take a sip of cold coffee.
