The set up has been a complete balls up by the club. If you want to recruit players with the profile like Dibling and Rohl, we should have a manager who can work with them. If they want a manager like Moyes, we should be buying him the Soucek's of the world. I'd prefer the former myself.

That's a problem with a lot of these old school "pragmatic" managers when they encounter issues instead trying to be practical and implement tweaks , they become recticant to apply changes as they feel it's a risky choice to try something different even though the current approach is flawed.

Brentford tormented the RS with them, Slot admits they aren't coping with the increased reliance on them in the PL and Arsenal sit pretty on top of the league with more set piece goals than open play.

The whiff of Bill Kenwright still hovers over the mentality of this club in the form of Moist. I appreciate the effect he had on the team last season, but he's now holding them back.

I agree with everything you wrote except he did make a notable and rare change in the palace game , which made a significant impact yet he opted to resort to the same lineup he usually does except grealish only because he was ineligible to play against city. He doesn't even learn from when does the occasional correct and different thing

In the palace game the ineligible was KDH. If he had been on the pitch the changes wouldn't have occurred even if we were losing 2-0.

I think he has proven a lot of the early doubters right. Many of my concerns were his preference of players and how he utilizes them. I feel like that is the biggest nail in the coffin for him and cost us our early season. I don't think the transfer window was "that" bad. It's too early to tell.

He could have easily started Charly in a few of these dropped games at the 10 and we probably would have won some. Continuing with O'Brien at RB instead of shifting him into the middle is probably an even bigger offense to me. It's like he doesn't have the heart to drop one of Keane or Tarks. It's the most obvious move for us right now but he can't bring himself to do it.

Agreed Roger. There does seem like a disconnect between the clubs transfer strategy and Moyes and the type of players he wants (quick short term players to get instant results)

Not going for the win against a very poor Wolves team was a disaster.
We were on a high confidence in both the team and fans was high.
We havnt really been the same as before that game.
Bad own goal by Moyes and one of are only chances yo win anything squandered as well.

Happened with Koeman also, started season great, played a weak team at home to Norwich In cup, went out and form tailed off for a while.

Personally, I see one point there v Fulham.

I was over Moyes after about 5/6 years, the first time round.

Was gobsmacked to see him at the Bellew fight & the media talking about his return.

Didn't want him back to replace Dyche... they're cut from the same cloth. Dyche is just a student of Moyes.

However, he kept us up... but, we should of thanked him & got rid.

Now the owners have their expensive mistake to unravel, probably / hopefully before the end of November.

He's 'Mr Percentage' & we'll never win sod all with him in charge.

The last minute mess of a transfer window, was classic Dithering Davey.

Get rid in November & we can still get something out of this season. A new 'dynamic' manager can easily get good, exciting things out of this squad.

Bobby did it, with all but Moyes squad... had us playing Arsenal off the park at the Emirates.

But, allow Moyes the January transfer window... & we'd be in real trouble.

No idea who could come in though.

Moyes certainly isn't the only issue but he is an issue. He plays the same 11 whenever they are available, doesn't change tactics when a game plan isn't working, only makes like for like substitutions and even then only late in the game, and was one of the much vaunted transfer committee that has left us without players in key positions. I'm sorry if you find that analysis "tiresome" but diversity of opinion is the whole point of a forum.

You need re-read my post. Clearly I said in it we are all entitled to our own opinion, I simply said me trying to argue the other side is becoming tiresome. But thanks for the most pointless reply I’ve ever read.
