2025/26 David Moyes

I see what you mean about Mcneil but the amount of attacks that would break down because of him are just too many for anything other than someone playing towards the bottom of the league. Plus that performance against Wolves will have done him no favours at all.
He has been poor and it started with preseason. I think he is mentally on the way out already and I would not bank on Dwight at all. It is just the difference between having vision and the lack of vision that is killing us right now. If KDH had it we take this game with ease. Moyes will need to find an answer. It is on the manager to fix it if it's broke.

i dont think we have particularly played well this season

v leeds - got battered for most of the game and never looked like we were going to score

v brighton - lucky not be 2-0 down by half time

v villa - never looked like we were going to score

v wolves - really poor defensive mistakes and wolves almost got an equaliser at the end

v liverpool - game was over after 30 minutes

its obviously going to take time for this new team to gel together and to find the right combination of attacking players that work well together

i just dont think based on the previous 5 games there is any reason to be confident that we will beat west ham convincingly on monday night

Something is not right with our attack

We're ok but its like playing with 10 men at times with Everton. Are we ever gona sign a striker who looks good out of the gate. Might have to start looking at alternative set ups and get alcaraz in somehow. He's got a goal in him at least.
Ild start Alcaraz in a false 9 role over Beto or Barry any day.

Imagine Moyes the dinosaur doing that though?

No chance.

There’s no variance. We have two wide players wanting everything to feet, two crap strikers and our only threat coming from a centre mid playing at 10 but actually making runs in behind.

There’s nothing coming from the full backs in terms of threat/adding variety to our game so our most likely goals look like set plays/one of our cutback crosses finding a blue head every now and again.

It’s all a bit predictable.

For me the issues are the lack of a natural starting right back , a left back that I don’t think compliments JG much so teams will just double up on him, a lack of pace throughout the team and two forwards, one in particular in Beto, who lacks a natural instinct and seems to have been praised more for being a decent lad rather than his job as a striker .

I would also argue Gana is showing his age especially tonight .

Perhaps the most frustrating part of our start to the season is the amount of teams we have played at probably the lowest ebb they’ll be at all season and we still couldn’t beat them: Villa, West Ham, arguably even the RS, none will be as poor as they are right now and we completely ran out of ideas against all of them.

We play Palace next who are absolutely flying. Will be very interesting to see how we get on against a team in top nick.

He's just tripe.

I think we can all agree on that much.

A man who looks and sounds like what he is: a complete duffer who cant get an in-game decision right.

The feller just doesn't see what's happening.

Owners are to blame ultimately though. They should have been strong enough to bin him in the summer and gone for Iraola.

...Wolves in the LC.
