2025/26 David Moyes

He's way out of touch with the supporters of this club. Always was in fact: his public backing of Kenwright and criticism of fans who wanted better are something I'll never be able to forgive him for.
You spend 90% of your time disagreeing with evertonians and never see match going evertonians yet you’re claiming he’s out of touch. Make this make sense.

Really?

You would never have guessed.
Well, there's more besides that. His disgusting sidelining of Kendall, his attempt to get our players after he went to United and abused Everton in the media, the way he left the club and then hung around like a bad smell even trying to influence his succession by offering up a load of cone layers.

He's an absolute 'kin beaut as far as most discerning Evertonians are concerned.

The Wolves game was massive kick in the balls… Maybe a wake-up call for some players that need to step-up. We’re a lower half Prem club, Moyes has the ability to take us top 7

Big missed chance.

Yeah, I am equally disappointed by some players that should have used this occasion to make themselves an attractive option to be picked. There is more competition this year.

Me neither. Never wanted him back. Tuesday was just another slap in the face. He's far too risk-averse, self-serving, and uninspiring to get properly behind when chasing anything other than "stability". If he's here beyond next summer, I don't think I will be anymore. The utter lack of fantasy is unforgivable. The tragedy is he is a very competent manager who...settles for mediocrity. That's where he's most comfortable, in places with low standards. There, he can raise them to mediocrity. Excellence remains out of his reach because he never gambles when the time is right. Far inferior managers to him - Roberto Martinez, for example - provide more moments of joy. Roberto wouldn't lace his boots as a builder of clubs, but he'll provide more moments of fantasy with similar players (as he did in 2013/14).

An ambitious, well-run club can do better than Stability's David Moyes. Roll on next summer!

Your biggest mistake is thinking everybody shares your views.

Some people are able to forgive and forget, the arrogance it takes to assume you are the majority is breath taking.

Sure, sone people share your views, but loads and loads of others dont.

Personally im judging him on what he does for Everton in 2025.

As I've said, we need 3 points on Monday, in order to get back on track.

You had me there until you said Martinez is an inferior manager to Moyes.

WTF?!

But listen: he only ever got credit here in his first 11 seasons because he managed a club who's fans were desperate not to be relegated. A frightened fanbase. It was like the Stockholm Syndrome.

Second time round we were in exactly the same position.

However, things over the summer have changed DRAMATICALLY.

That stadium has been like a shot of adrenaline into the veins of Evertonians and the owners have put in £100M into the squad.

Our fans aren't going to be grateful anymore for this feller Moyes telling us how lucky we are to have him or put up with his dampening down of higher expectations.

He'll go next summer if we aren't pushing for Europe.

As I am. And he'll be found wanting this season because we all know he cant handle expectations.

Martinez is a charlatan.

But he rolls the dice, chances his arm: the very definition of a chancer.

Moyes refuses to risk...anything. He's wedded to mediocrity, "just enough", pluckiness.

He's done really well since he returned, but the home draw with the worst United team in my lifetime was the big tell of last season. While we all celebrated his fast rescue job, the way we blew a 2-0 lead to that feeble United side summed up Moyes. Even when he has you at his mercy, he chokes, battens down the hatches, and wriggles out of responsibility by pointing to iffy officiating as the reason we didn't win that game.

He got us safe. Full credit for that. I understand people want another season of stability. But that HAS to be it if we have any notions of genuinely transforming the club from plucky knife-wielders to serious gunfighters.
