2025/26 David Moyes

I guess we all get frustrated at times like vs Wolves, there are these Moyes' moments, where he shows he's a good manager but not world class overall.

But on the other hand, we had Dyche before and could have ended with a slightly less terrible manager in Potter.
The Wolves game was massive kick in the balls… Maybe a wake-up call for some players that need to step-up. We’re a lower half Prem club, Moyes has the ability to take us top 7

The Wolves loss was never that important in the greater scheme of things. My balls were largely unaffected, mainly by not watching the game on tv. Herindoors watched something else, so a win win situation in our house.

Will you be organising your promised protest march any time soon, as we`re all still waiting ?

Mind you, you`ll have to find somewhere safe to lock up your Raleigh Stowaway Folding bike first.
Dave switching his focus regarding civil disobedience, the Fraudkins are no longer the main threat to Everton, he's back at the ol hill dick sounding out the message about Moyes....

How  Should Moyes approach Mondays game?
Rip into these Lads they're P poor.

How  Might Moyes approach Mondays game?
They'll be wound up for this to show the incoming new Boss so keep it tight

Yeah, the apologia writes itself now. "We would have fancied West Ham under Potter, but once he was gone it was always going to be a harder game. Take the point and move on."

Moyes's problem now - and he's beginning to see it this last week - is that no one is in the mood anymore for derbies to be surrendered and cup competitions to not be taken seriously. He'll also learn that playing any 'elite' team home or away wont come with the free pass of achieving f.a. anymore, or that settling for a draw against any team outside the elite will be acceptable.

If he thought signing up to a second stint here was just going to be producing what he did last time in a vastly changed Everton set up he's going to be corrected on that very very quickly. Yesterday's press conference was a reaction to that. He knows the winds of change have blown through the club and he doesn't have Bill there anymore to count on.

Given the fixture pile up for other PL teams in Europe this season he needs to get a Euro spot - especially if they're going down to 8th position.
He certainly needs to have us in the shake up for one - either by league position OR by the cups. Seems he chose to blow half of the latter route out of hubris, disinterest, or over-estimation of the players at his disposal.

I don't expect a European placing this season. But I do expect us to do our level best to get as close to one as possible, by whatever route possible. Wolves away in the League Cup was a winnable game we didn't attempt to win.

He's way out of touch with the supporters of this club. Always was in fact: his public backing of Kenwright and criticism of fans who wanted better are something I'll never be able to forgive him for.
