2024/25 David Moyes

Title race or champions league. Either way they are second. If you are going to use Moyes last nine then look at Iriola's with a far easier set of fixtures. They were hunting Europe at one point and the wheels have fell off.

We all know his record is poor at the top clubs but the goal was to keep us up this year. Have a cry if he can't beat Ipswich and Southampton at home not Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Chelsea with this squad.

Moyes will never relegate us.

That's about the only thing I'd concede on him.

He kept us up with a bit to spare and he will take us to Bramley Moore with our top flight status still intact.

I'm going to start judging Moyes properly from next season onwards.

Is Moyes the man to fulfill the new owners ambitions and take us back into the elite again?

Time will tell on on that but that was a typical Moyes and Everton result at a ground we haven't won a league game at in almost thirty one years.

Moyes is the ultimate comfort blanket for this club. Safe and secure, but bland and predictable.

I thought it was absolutely right to bring him back under the circumstances, and can fully understand why TFG opted for him. They would have been crucified within weeks of taking ownership if they had gambled and it didn't work out.

We do have to see how the summer pans out as they're not getting rid of him this side of it and nor should they. Doing it right now would be a chaotic move.

Like all managers results will dictate and he's dealing with TFG this time round and not Bill Kenwright.

I have to admit though that I've found myself thinking in the last week or so that I don't really want that comfort blanket and after 35 years of nothing, would back the bravery of letting him go with thanks and really ushering in that new era - but it's not happening.

For that reason, I hope the summer goes as well as it can and the team does as well as it can with him there to take the credit for it. At this stage I can't really comprehend them sacking him in October or November and all of us wondering whatever happened to that transfer pot and where it all went. I just can't go through 2016/17 again. I can't.

I’m cool with Moyes staying on all next season but not beyond thst. DoF move after that maybe. But it’s time to combine a braver manager with hopefully new and upgraded players from this summer’s window.

i’m not saying he’s not kev but im still right mate

it just pisses me off when some of our fans (I E dave )

“i’d get that areola” yada yada

he’s done a good job

moyes is better in my opinion

nxt season wel see

Matty, the forum clown prince wanted Southgate as manager, as well as steadfastly denying that Dyche would ever be sacked.

It’s all about his agendas.

I think you're a bit silly judging Moyes based on results since he's come in.

He could have lost more. Won more. My opinion on the man is on the last 20+ years. Not a handful of games.

We have to be realistic.

Moyes got us safe a lot earlier than anyone expected and made our last few games at Goodison comfortable.

He's done really well to turn things round.

But we're never going to play exciting, expansive football under him.

We'll be competitive and more than likely be in the second tier of PL teams - somewhere between 7-12th.

His job is to stabilise us for the next 2 years and improve the squad over a few windows.

It's frustrating he hasn't experimented a bit more (Nidaye & Alcaraz) but he's never really been that type of manager.

Maybe that'll change in last few games with not much to play for.
