2024/25 David Moyes

Moyes himself is quoted as saying O’Brien is playing out of position due to the form of the two centre halves and he wants O’Brien moved to centre sooner or later. One of those mainstay centre halves goes off injured giving him the perfect opportunity and what does he do? Leaves him at right back and brings on a centre half who is leaving on a free in the summer! That and continuing to leave Alcaraz on the bench in favour of Doucoure and he’s in danger of losing the goodwill he’s undoubtedly built up since he’s been here. When Alcaraz DOES get a few minutes, he’s shifted to the left wing or the right wing, not in his obvious best position. People are gonna point the finger at Alcaraz saying he’s not good enough but that doesn’t tell the true story does it. When Alcaraz has been playing centrally in his proper position he’s looked far brighter than Doucoure that’s undeniable.

That isn’t going to happen though, there’s no demand for it and it would blow half the transfer budget. Moyes will 100% be here next season.

I agree.

However, 7 of the last 8 games are a microcosm of what to expect next season: hard fought games but lacking a game plan to take all the points or even any of them.

I cant see Moyes getting us battling for a euro place anytime soon...and this division is terrible at the moment and any team should be targeting Europe.

Well he threw Keane a bone and he crapped on the floor. I get the sub, like for like and that. No one expects Tarkowski to go off injured.

But that terrorist cannot play a single second of football in a blue shirt again

Michael "Terrorist" Keane lol

I call him Michael 'The Oaf' Keane...

Unbelievable Moyes brought him on today.

Just no more Michael Keane please.

Spot on @Aries and that statement by Moyes is beyond me.

Says Obrien is a CB and wants him there soon.

Instead...
