2024/25 David Moyes

Like there's any shadow of a doubt about that now.
Technically if we lost our last 8 games and Soton won theirs they could overtake us, let alone Leicester or Ipswich. Of course the goal difference swing would be enormous, but its an extreme example thats all. It isnt going to happen... is it?

It's not though. He can go anytime he wants and chooses not to. What sort of attitude is that?
Do you mean to tell me that a person who is involved in sports may be slightly superstitious, and has chosen not to count his chickens before they hatch? Well I am shocked and appalled. This is absolutely unheard of. Inform the church elders!!

I’m sensing a bit more ruthlessness in him than at the end of his first time around.

There’s nowhere to hide at the club now. Kenwright and Moshiri provided excuse after excuse but there won’t be one for players or managers under the Friedkins. I’ve never seen Moyes speak so ambitiously about where he wants us to be and in such a short time frame.

When we have the new stadium and transfer funds every season there’s literally no reason we shouldn’t expect success, none. Everyone at Everton should be preparing for it. We have to be ruthless now.

It's the weirdest stance I've ever seen: the club have a new stadium that the media and anyone associated with the club are fighting to get to see, but the Everton manager wont go and see it.

Anyone would think he cant be arsed

He was asked about it at the beginning, and his opinion then was that he will go when we're mathematically safe. I do hope your not advocating people changing their opinions in the face of overwhelming evidence, Dave.

It's a ridiculous stance. 'Mathematically safe'.

WTF difference dos it make if we have to wait a few weeks. It's happening.

Our last manager went 4 months without winning a game.

So it would be prudent to not assume we won't do it again.

It's done and dusted.

Moyes sounds like Hitler promising to wear the same tunic until the war is won.

He needs to come out of his bunker and get down that stadium. Itls a real slap in the face to all blues unable as yet to get into it.

Even if we did lose the next 8 games, do you think those three clubs at the bottom are getting 35 points?
That wasnt the point I made, my point was that why would he go down there, make a song and dance, when its not CERTAIN he will our manager there next Season.

He said that when we are safe he will go, I hope he doesnt, just to wind you up, its not that deep, but you seem to think it is.

Football managers all say the same thing, the next match is their only focus.

I could understand it MAYBE if he wasn't intending to be the manager next season. But this relegation issue was sorted about a month ago.

It's just bizarre he's not gone to the new stadium. Just strikes me that it's the actions of somone not invested in the club - despite being manager here for so long.

I actually think he resents Everton a bit for how fans turned on him (rightly) at United and how Kenwright bowed out here. He was very good friends with BK.

🤷‍♂️

Spot on.

Im gonna try just agreeing with you, see if that helps.

I'd be very disappointed if he started Doucs in the weekend. I can understand any other change. I think he needs to look for answers. Arsenal will be rough regardless of who we start so the perfect time to experiment.
