20/21: 27th December 2020. We’re 2nd in the table under Carlo Ancelotti.

We then presumably tell him that because of PSR there’s no money in January so we bring Josh King on loan, and then completely fall apart in 2nd half of the season. Carlo goes at the end of the season.

21/22: We give Benitez approximately 1.5 mill for Gray and Townsend on loan and ship out James, Bernard and Walcott. Digne goes in January with Mykolenko and Patterson arriving on permanent deals.

22/23 Richarlison and Allan go in the next summer window. Gordon is then also sold in the January window. Onana McNeil Garner Maupay and Gueye arrive for fees. No signings in January.

23/4: Iwobi Kean Gray Cannon Simms all sold and Mina let go. Beto and Chermiti arrive. No signings for the manager in January

24/25: Onana Godfrey Dobbin sold, Gomes ooc, Ndiaye OBrien Iroegbunam in for fees. Alcaraz on loan in Jan.

Over the last 5 years we’ve been forced to sell (or not renew) almost every top outfield player we’ve had: James, Bernard, Digne, Richarlison, Mina, Gordon, Gomes, Iwobi, Onana, Allan, Godfrey

We’ve been forced to sell all our youth prospects: Cannon, Simms, Dobbin, Kean

We’ve backed one manager in January with signings for 5 years (one right back on perm deal, the rest loans)

We’ve lost our world class manager (may have gone anyway but sure our position didn’t help)

We’ve received two separate points deductions

We’ve operated in transfer profit for this entire period the only team in the prem to do so.

We’ve lost multiple millions in prize money for low league finishes because all our top players have gone

and still after all this we still apparently have to pay a bill in the summer? Why? When will it end. We’ve made some obvious missteps in recruitment but PSR has almost destroyed this club over the past 5 years. What did we do to deserve that? Spent some money after 2 decades of having none to try and be competitive?

It’s been an absolute sham and lo and behold just as we could come into a period where we might be getting out the other side and other clubs might be dragged in they’ll get rid of it for something else that will no doubt benefit others but shaft us.
We built a billion pounds stadium in that time...must be a reason why not many teams in the pl choose that route and instead focused on improved their existing ground. All of those years of suffering at the bottom having to sell players to keep the lights on will now enable an opportunity of a life time really. We were not helped either by the huge wage legacy that we had to go through with players earning 2 or 3 times what they would earn in another club. That again seem to be back under control to a certain degree.

While Utd and Chelsea will carry on spending like sailors on shore leave
Spending nothing for years now and selling the family silver every summer.
Masters out.

I dont follow united close enough but from the outside and their latest accounts how are they even spending 1 pence. What is it, record losses. Spent about 200m and i cant think of anyone other than Scott McTominay bringing anything in the other way. All this talk about Amorim doing a complete rebuild. How? They look a complete mess financially to me.

He's a completely diffeent beast these days. Can only be good for the squad to see a manager who smiles with them and doesn't laugh at them.

And no matter how token it might be, refers positively to the fans and the differencee they can and do make.

It just feels that he's opened the curtains and let the light in.

Anyone got any idea what the bill is we've still got to pay (P&S rules)?
Totally agree, he was brilliant today in how he came across - relaxed, smiling. Completely different to what we have seen prior.

Dave you said no Evertonian should like him him. I think you need to realise that no Evertonian likes the fact he went to Manu U, but he did to further his career and nobody can blame him. We were under Blue Bill going nowhere, and he was replacing Alex Ferguson. It’s a long time ago and far worse has happened since then.

  • Humiliated Kendall
  • Berated fans trying to get Kenwright out and stood guard over him
  • Told Everton if we knew what was best for our players we'd let them go to his Man Utd

If you think that's ever forgotten or forgiven...and not just by me...you can think again.

He takes that with him and carries it round with him forever as far as I'm concerned. That's his baggage. You want to forget that, that's your choice.

Is fair to think that i have no problem people not for him at the end of the day dont have to like the manager. But can respect him if he is doing a good job at the end of the day all fans will be backing the team on the pitch. For me everyone makes mistakes and has come back here wanting to come back badly being a better manager and has bought in a postive reaction from most fans and the players.

I dont want him anywhere near us once we're in a position to take off the stabilisers he represents.

As soon as balance and forward momentum is achieved we can cast that Judas off into the bin where he belongs.

I'd take Iraola in any case in the summer.

Is fair think that wrong imo because well is so much to do and is a short turnover, is why i want the dof situation sorted asap. As i thought with dyche if we finish this end of season strong moyes deserves a chance. Also would be another payout and then would need a big offer for iraola. Atm i think moyes has come back a better manager and has impressed me. I feel positive with the summer window wothh new players in he can csrry on pushing us forward. My original choice to come in was thomas frank

Story go? Love a bit of fiction in the evening me.

Also, could you provide any evidence of

As for your last point, he was Manager of Manchester United then, so I dont care.

What we're facing

Michael Keane ?
Dominic Calvert-Lewin ?
Gana Gueye ?
Doucoure ?

This is where the money has gone, outlays (sometimes big fees) and then for whatever reason allowed to leave on frees. Some big numbers in there. Couple of players included from the academy that played enough to be considered worth something based on appearance numbers alone...

It's all there if you search for it.

I'll provide it later if by that time you haven't bothered yourself to find it. Lazy arse.

Yeah recruitment wasn't great during initial moshiri era as essentially access to money through usmanov. We paid the price once that money stopped coming in.
