Probably got it tactically wrong first half. No real need to press this Bournemouth side. They give you chances anyway.

And our pressing left gaps and our defenders were extremely bad at dealing with it.

Truly, I pin the loss squarely on James Tarkowski and his large ears. The team started flat but we were holding our own. Rewatch the film and it all boils down to Tarks today. Lick your wounds and focus on the derby.
How are the team starting out flat for a home 4th round FA Cup tie against a Bournemouth team depleted with injuries?

Yeah pressing a very good pressing side with lots of pace probably not the best tactic

I like Tarkowski a lot but he was a disaster today start to finish. He’s had a few mistakes in his time here like they all have but he was off his head today, so many mistakes and two got punished with goals.

Can’t put that on Moyes and what was encouraging was positive subs that we all wanted to see made (except maybe Keane late on).

Hopefully, like he’s done with O’Brien and Lindstrom he’ll see Alcaraz is far better than the current man in his position and start him asap.

Maybe stop playing the ball out to him for goal kicks. Especially when he is obviously struggling with it. It was mad to do that against Bournemouth anyway, they press really hard on stuff like that.
