….66 years of age now, seems his job at West Ham was more ‘technical’ in that he watched opponents etc. He has a good reputation as a coach, though, be interesting what his specific role is.

Got to say, that was night and day compared to the middle management bollocks from dyche. Called the players out immediately, acknowledging their possible lack of motivation due to end of contract. Also set standards from day 1, rather than telling us we are lucky to finish 17th.

I enjoyed that. Took his time and hit the right notes without it coming over as overly sentimental/emotional.

He knows that he's got a job on his hands, but seems confident in himself that he'll have us ok.
