There is so many David Moyes thread so thought a new one for this season.

Everton boss David Moyes admits he is unfazed by his contract situation at Goodison Park.

Moyes is entering the final year of his contract and as yet no new deal has been agreed.

The Scot's long-term future at Everton has been the subject of speculation for some time and he was linked with the Tottenham job prior to the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas.

Moyes insists he is not concerned about sorting out a new deal and that he remains happy on Merseyside.

"I don't think the managers' contract is that important, it is more important we get the players sorted," noted Moyes.

"It is not desperate. I have a contract here and I am more than happy. It certainly doesn't affect my work.

"I told everyone (at the end of the last season) I was getting on with my job and that is what would be happening and I'm looking forward to adding more to the squad."

I'm sure he said the same thing last time he was about to sign his contract, didnt end up signing till a few games into the season when our form improved

His self importance never fails to amaze me. It's all about Moyes - even when 'it's not' all about Moyes.

£4M per year should twist his arm.

I think he's waiting to see how the summer will plan out. He's obviously told Bill what he does and doesnt want to happen this summer, if a big name goes without him saying so, cant see him signing a new contract..

Right Moist, this season I ask for the following:

1. Keep Jelavic focal to our play, don't f*cking shunt him out wide or something.

2. Tell the players to pass the ball to another player in blue, not Peter Drury in the commentators' box (applicable from August - January).

3. Keep Phil Neville on the bench or at a push, at right back.

4. Beat Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa at home, the latter a thorough thumping, jammy gits.

5. Try not to let Southampton steamroller us at Goodison, likewise any team with a trophy cabinet/history the size of a toaster.

6. Tell Anichebe and Cahill to do one, their time is up.

7. Turn Jack Rodwell back into a footballer and not some bloke off Twilight/crab/off-form Arteta impersonator.

8. Play Barkley ffs.

9. Win a cup, either'll do.

Do the majority of these correctly and i'll start to warm to you again, #9 being imperative; The Goodison timeline needs a new addition, sick of seeing Saha celebrate a f*cking quick goal in a final we didn't bother to turn up in...that was also three years ago.

Stands out like a big sore thumb. No success is no success. He talks a good game about how he's overachieved at Everton and the flunkies in the press back him up.

Bottom line is he's done fcuk all. Never mind him having to be persuaded to sign a new contract, he should be begging to be kept on.

The whole thing is upside down.

Totally agree. Think he's hedging his bets and why not too. If it means the board might back him just that little bit more.
